Do everything he did up until the curves step and when you get to curve select red (instead of blue here) and bring that up. Also , maybe use the hue/saturation effect. If you don’t know about hue/saturation youtube it.

try using a different method to select it. lasso, smart select, etc.

Help! I selected the eye using the pen, but every square that is covered gets shaded in this gray-ish color. And when I go to Image, the adjustments in disabled.
