I would rather comment on the actual video and the style of the teacher here.
This guy has a very unique style and I enjoy his going to the trouble of making this fine vid and sharing his comments.

Jonathon: TY for your comment. I’ll leave you with 2 definitions of art which rather appeal to me: 1) “All art is quite useless,” Oscar Wilde, 2) “I don’t know what the artist intended and I don’t care, I collect art which has meaning for me,” Dennis Hopper (actor).
If you want to see more of Dennis, there are some vids of him showing off his collection of modern and pop art here on YouTube, he’s quite an astute collector.
Bottom line for me: I agree with Andy Warhol

haha, ok. I guess I miss rinterpreted your first comment. I think the concept of “art” is so subjective that there is no way to place an objective definition on it.

Jonathon: You express my point exactly! At the risk of sounding redundant: working artists don’t sit around discussing their art or pondering the question of what is art, they are too busy making art. If people want to interpret my art and read all sorts of hidden meanings into it, I wish them luck – as long as they come across with the hard cash first.

Art teachers are the only ones who can afford to sit around contemplating the question: “What is art?” Artists are too busy making art to consider such inane twadle.
