I was wondering what Art schools (colleges or universities that mainly focus on the visual & performing arts) are the hardest to get accepted in to.
Which ones are the hardest?
Which ones have the most rigorous courses/curriculum?
If it is needed, I was thinking of a major in Drawing, Painting, or Fine Arts.
I was looking for information on anywhere in the country.
If it’s even possible, maybe someone would have information about this internationally as well?

Well, what state are you from?
Are you thinking about the hardest ones in your state or out of state?

RISD and Pratt are highly-rated for art. Carnegie-Mellon is good for performing arts and also, I believe, has a fine arts program.

University of the Arts in Philadelphia offers all of those majors & it’s pretty highly selective. All of the programs are BFA’s as opposed to BA programs, meaning the training is more vigorous which it sounds like you are looking for. It’s also entirely devoted to the arts, so the atmosphere is wonderful for the artistic type. It’s a wonderful school too! Check it out:
